Cookie policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
An honest list of everything this site keeps in your browser, what each entry does, and how long it lasts.
1The short version
No advertising and no cross-site tracking cookies. We use one measurement tool, Google Analytics, and only if you press "Accept" in the consent banner: until then it neither loads nor sets anything. Everything else listed below is strictly necessary to make a page or a form work.
2What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on the next request. Local storage does a similar job but stays in your browser and is never sent automatically. We treat both the same way in this policy, because the distinction matters to engineers and not to you.
3What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| fsc.builder.draft | Local storage | Saves your answers as you move through the builder form so you do not lose them if you close the tab. Never leaves your browser until you press submit. | Until you submit or clear it |
| fsc.lang | Local storage | Remembers which language you prefer to read the site in. | Until you clear browser storage |
| firebase:authUser:… | Local storage | An anonymous identifier created only on the builder form, so that files you upload are attached to your submission and not to anyone else's. It carries no name or email. | Until you clear browser storage |
| firebase-app-check | Local storage | A short-lived token proving the request came from our real website, not from a script. Stops automated spam submissions. | About 1 hour |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Cookie (Google) | Set by Google reCAPTCHA on the builder form to tell humans from bots. Used for security only, not for advertising or profiling. | About 6 months |
| fsc.consent | Local storage | Records your choice about non-essential storage. | Until you clear browser storage |
4What we do not use
No advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site profiling. Our fonts are served from this site rather than a font network, so nothing leaks to a third party just by loading a page. The one third party that can receive anything is Google Analytics, described below, and only after you agree.
5Traffic measurement (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., to see which pages are read and how visitors reach us. None of it loads before you press "Accept": no script, no cookie, no request to Google. If you press "Decline" or ignore the banner, the site works exactly the same; we simply do not see the visit.
After consent, Google Analytics sets the _ga cookie and one of the form _ga_*, which hold a random browser identifier rather than your name. They live for up to two years. Google processes the data on our behalf; we do not use it for advertising and we do not join it to anything you send through the forms.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (see the next section); the consent banner then appears again on your next visit. What we collect and why is also described in the privacy policy.
6Managing storage in your browser
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and site data, usually under Settings → Privacy. You can block storage for this site entirely. The pages will still render, but the builder form will not be able to save your draft or accept uploads, because those need the entries above.
Websites we build for clients follow the same approach and ship with no tracking unless the client asks for it and their own cookie notice covers it.
7Changes and contact
We will update this page whenever what we store changes, along with the date at the top. Questions: contact@fines-software-consulting.ro.
